Registration & Policies
Call to set up your first lesson, check us out, and meet your teacher. If you decide you want to continue, we will guide you through the quick and painless registration process.

Semesters
We have 3 semesters: Semester I, Semester II and Summer. Students register at or before the beginning of the semester, for the entire semester. Those who enter during a semester register for the remainder of that semester. When you register, you can choose how many lessons you want for the semester.

Payment
If you pay for the entire semester (at least 10 lessons) before your first lesson, you get a 10% discount. Otherwise, payment for each month's lessons is due before the first lesson of that month. You may make a payment by mail or in person at the IRN office. If a payment becomes delinquent, lessons will be suspended until payment is received, and you may forfeit your place in your teacher's schedule.

Lesson Cancelation Policy
If a student needs to cancel a lesson, they must give at least 484 hours notice. They will be given a chance to have a make up lesson, or credit for that lesson will be applied to their next payment.

If a student cancels a lesson with less than 48 hours notice, we still charge for the lesson.

Occasionally IRN will need to cancel lessons due to teacher illness. If this occurs, students will be offered a make up lesson or credit will be applied to their next payment.

If, for some reason, a teacher fails to show up to their lesson, students will be able to schedule a make up lesson. And, in addition to the make up lesson, the student will recieve a free lesson or credit will be applied to the next payment.

Practice
All students are expected to practice regularly as assigned to them by their teacher. Parents of young students are expected to encourage their children to practice and assist them in developing good practice habits.

Frequency of Lessons
We recommend our students attend weekly lessons for 3 reasons:

1. Weekly contact with the teacher keeps the student stimulated to learn and create.
2. The prospect of a weekly lesson motivates the student to practice regularly
3. By seeing a student every week, the teacher has the opportunity to monitor practice habits and to make corrections when they are necessary.
